Welcome to a collaborative space for sharing resources on teaching transatlantic literary culture. We hope you will join our conversation.

This website serves as a supplement to our books, Teaching Transatlanticism and Transatlantic Anglophone Literatures, 1776-1920, both published by the University of Edinburgh Press. The website also presents additional resources submitted by colleagues who are teaching transatlantic literature in a wide range of instructional contexts. If you would like to submit some of your own resources or to announce a new book, conference, CFP for a journal/edited collection, essay or book prize, please go to Submit and consult the detailed instructions.

Also, we invite you to join our forum for discussing issues related to transatlantic pedagogy, including in particular its relationship to other organizational approaches, from the regional and national to the oceanic and global.

You can respond to our books in Conversations. You can also launch new topics or threads for our discussions based on your own work in teaching transatlanticism, or in response to other materials on the website (such as those in “Additional Resources”).

Design and launch of this website were supported by a TCU Instructional Development Grant, the Mary Couts Burnett Library, and the AddRan College Creativity and Innovation in Learning grant program.
